Ducato Bonnet Catch

Hi
My starter battery has run down however the real problem is I can't get the bonnet open. The catch on the passenger side door pillar pulls outwards against a coil spring but there is no sign of where it is connected to a cable and it dosn't feel as though it is pulling against a cable. 2008 ducato. Any ideas?

I'm delaying calling out breakdown home start until tomorrow when garages should be open. I have a horrible feeling could be an expensive problem! I am still within a 12 month Motorhome Auto Dealer Care Warranty - do you think I should contact them first.

Worth it for the sake of a call but cable's are not normally covered by warranties

Oh yeh I forgot mine does this too.

It will have released you just need to get something underneath the edge of the bonnet to pull/free it a bit. You need to pull the bonnet up, mine does release the catch (though you wouldn't think it)

Yet another failure on these vans :(

Thanks Bob

Couldn't get it up with fingers but managed it with a wooden fish slice!! Didn't say that in the handbook - thank goodeness for this forum.
