i just pop on the meerkat site when a renewal comes through.... its the house insurance this month.... renewal was nearly 300....went on meerkats... quotes from 175 .... phoned current insurer (who were cheapest on meerkats last year) they offered to knock 30 quid off.... which is still more than their quote via meerkats for a new policy so told them not to renew . the whole insurance job is a farce.

seems to be standard practices now to shaft the customers you already have i remember when companies wanted repeat buisness

trying to get mine below 150 but dont think so but will spend some time on the phone then tell them if they send me junk mail i will return it to them in in the envolope they sent it in with some readers digest junk mail and not stamped

I am with "direct leisure" or some name but they have changed their name. We only pay £175 and they were the only company to insure me without a full UK driving license. Only have a full EEC license.
Will dig out the policy when I am back home

so called charity collection if you read it carefully a small per centage goes to charity but some of them are proper but those i deem not proper i will use as bin liners

ive just changed my insurance over from a talbot express highwayman
to the vehicle in the picture i was flabagasted at how low its gone down to
sureterm is the insurance company im with they are at huntingdon
i too ended up with no no claims bonuses with my old company

We've just been through this farce of re-insuring the Motorhome. We had quotes from £300 to £180 and that was from SAGA.

I don't know why the companies get it so wrong. They must be aware that people are going to shop around

Knowing how Direct and More than handle pet insurance claims l wouldnt touch them, that goes for all the cheaper companies. We are with Swinton had a couple of claims from them...one going through now and so far no problems.

If it is for a motorhome l am now swapping to Motor Home Forums insurance was with Caravan Guard they were cheaper and fine but wont do work use cover and extra for continent so decided to move even though 100 more.

I know it's off topic but i fancied a little rant. :hammer:
We used to put the plastics in inside out charity bags for recycling, but the council won't collect them now in case they confuse them with actual bags for charity. As if a grown man couldn't distinguish beteween a bag full of old clothes ad a bag full of old 2l plastic milk bottles. :rolleyes2:

Back on topic, my MH insurance is due next month, just waiting to see what the quote will be.:scared:
