Dr Who returns.....

Friends: I have been away. Not far. Just to Wien and Praha with a drop into a german hospital in Dresden to sort out my heart. Ah so!
On the way home I swopped my Renault Kangoo "roo" for a Merc Vito:four seat saloon, 2 berth and a small pop top over kitchen. Damnm good deal as always from John Knight (Knight Mororcaravans , Kidderminster) -I reckon my Kangoo dropped just a grand in a decade and the new one -"Tardis"- insured with Shield for under £200 fc! John threw in a towbar ( I can't go anywhere in Summer without one of my boats astern) and fitted a (very tricky curtain rail and insisted I keep whatever I wanted from the many bits I had in the Kangoo as Knights will refurbish the Roo to new, so I am keeping my green velvet thermo lined curtains and solar panel and a few bits and pieces).
Not taken delivery yet-waiting for ferry New Year price hikes to drop: again, a nice gesture from Knights to wait the actual exchange day from early Dec to late Jan. to suit me!
I still have my old 1978 Hymer A class -it's on the farm by Lough Erne near Enniskillen as as its is ROI reg, that suits very well for Irish wilding keeping Tardis for longer voyages!
So:I will collect it circa Jan 25 but :wait for it.....I'se NOT going to live aboard for a week so i can settle it and sort it out because i picked up four cheap ( £19 quid rooms in Chester, Kidderminster(2) and Stockport) and twomore in a more classy Britannia Country House in Manchester for just £50. If it was like that always might be tempted to give up wilding but probably not: I live for the having everything where i can reach it and a different view everytime I wake!
And the Tardis will dive under height barriers, and goes as a car on Ferries .....it was very difficult to reject several very attractive normal height van conversions but I long got the messageL so many motorhomes means more and more restriction-and in most of Europe nowadays. I's already changed dramatically in the 55 years I've been at it with prohibition signs in hundreds of places i used to stopover in.
I have said it many imes and repeat: If you want freedom then do not LOOK like a motorhome. Tardis will takes on the exterior image of a fish van!
So look out for it -I'll try to post our (myself and the Doctor) voyages as and when I hit the road :mostly linked to regattas in UK and some sailing in France-maybe Holland!
But also I hopethe usual quota of travel in West and Mittel Europe : will post itineries, locations they evolve if laptop G 3 or Auichan or whatever it is proves workable.....
Meantime, regards to all wilder and friends on our site: all wilders-really what this message is intended to convey is that this 74 yr old is (in spite of friends proclaiming insanity) almost ready for another 8 or more months of voyaging: you are never too old even if you are alone.
oanyone who might link-up over the next few months wherever: then please make contact.
