downloading to new garmin 780

Help Have just spent 3 days trying to download WC to my Garmin Camper 780 without success.
First I was not able to complete GarminLoader but was stopped when asked to name the file
I cant get my PC to offer me any access to my satnav
I have read the instruction several times and tried to download the free camping app but as yet no joy can anyone help please

Have you been able to download the POIs to your PC?
You say that you can't get your PC to "offer access" to the satnav. If Garmin's POI Loader was asking you to name the file, the PC must have been communicating with the satnav. What then caused it to stop?
The free WildCamping app has nothing to do with loading POIs onto a satnav; it is intended to be downloaded to and installed on a compatible smartphone or tablet.
 
You do not need the " free camping app " as you say to complete the task and i presume you are running Windows with calling it a PC rather than a MAC ?

If it is a Windows PC make sure you download the correct ones because they are different for Windows and MAC

1, You need Garmin Express and then make sure your sat nav is up to date.

2, You need Garmin POI Loader to put the sat nav files onto your sat nav,

3, Download the Wildcamping POI ZIP file found on the POI Downloads page, the Toilet POI Zip file is there as well if you also want that.

Put them in a separate folder with a name that you`ll recognise and is easily found when you browse, normally on the desktop.

4, Follow the instructions for Garmin found slightly further down the same POI Downloads page.

HTH and glad to be of assistance Chris :) we`re all playing this game together and i like to do my bit if i can (y)

I see Houli was back on the forum last night but i don`t know if they`ve seen it as they haven`t reacted :unsure:
