We came through Dover port yesterday lunch time around 1.0 and the situation had deteriorated in the
two and a half weeks that we were away.

As we left the ferry terminal lorries were nose to tail in the inside lane all the way through the town and
it was the same for cars in the outside lane.

Just as we were leaving the town we halted for lights and I asked a family who were standing outside their car how long they had been
waiting. 40 minutes and no sign of moving was the answer.

Going up the hill away from Dover the cars were nose to tail for about another mile and the lorries for another two miles.

So if you are going this way leave plenty of time to get through.

2 P&O sailings were cancelled before ours left Calais 2.5 hours late.So they still have problems.

We had 2or3 coachloads of Liverpool fans on the ferry returning from the champions league final
so that put things back into perspective listening to them .

I travelled on the 09.15 ferry fromDover on Tuesday and had absolutely no trouble. All of 5 minutes queue at passport control then the usual wait for the ferry which left more or less on time.
