If you're using Dover to go abroad give yourself LOADS of time to get there on the final approach 🤔

Just come back through and whilst Calais was very quiet Dover was gridlocked.

As well as queing down the front on the M20 / A20 route the A2 ( long hill ) was also solid all the way back through the top roundabout with foreign wagons trying to jump the queues.

There are police at the bottom roundabout sending them to the back of the queue.

Numerous motorhones and car and caravans were stuck in it 😱🤬😱🤬

Wooie, do you know if this affecting the tunnel, as we have booking soon?

Turn right at the Whitgift roundabout, past Tesco and down the hill.

Right by the roundabout to Eastern Docks entrence
On Google maps I can see a way from tesco extra up near Whitfield, down Melbourne way and green lane to the A256 one way system that brings you out at the traffic lights (I think) just one junction before the roundabout to Eastern docks?

Couldn’t begin to remember the road names but basically yes.

Trucks should all come down the M20, but many try to skip the queues by using the A2 when it’s busy, plod then make matters worse by trying to turn them all right at the roundabout at the bottom of the hill, this is pointless as they just go to the roundabout at Western Docks and either go into Motis, get a parking ticket and drive straight through and back out, back to the roundabout and then go to Eastern Docks or if no plod just turn around and back to Eastern Dock.

They should turn them around at Eastern Docks roundabout and make them go back up the hill, but that would just be too easy.

Better still turn them back at the roundabout at the top of the hill.
