Hi there
My fridge seems to work on 12V but when on gas the light flashes but no spark / I changed the 3amp fuse ( no change) there is gas going to the cooker ,
I have the wrong book for the fridge and I'm wilding at the moment so I can't Download the manual to my phone,
Any ideas would be welcome ;-]

Any lighter from a £ shop will do, a cigarette lighter will also be fine, until you get it properly fixed.

Where do you light it, I don't have the correct manual for the fridge and can't find where the flame would be ?

On second thoughts, has your fridge got a rocker switch, if so, possibly it is corroded which though a light is showing it is not igniting. Maybe cleaning the contacts MIGHT solve your problem. Only a suggestion.

Hi there
There is 2 dials on the front at the top 1 for 12V / gas & electric the other is for temp I can find nothing to see the poilet light or light it ? All my tuggers were easy to find but I'm stumped with this motorhome ;-(

If your fridge is the fully automatic version there is the possibility that if the flame went out during operation or there was no gas to ignite at start up then the fridge goes into failsafe mode - the igniter will have sparked for three minutes without lighting the gas to force failsafe mode. You need to turn off the fridge for about 10 seconds to reset the igniter circuit - if there is air in the gas pipes it may require resetting several times. If after 4 attempts at relighting it still fails then its time to look elsewhere.

The other issue with the fully auto fridges is that if you turn the ignition on or have the engine running then the gas will not ignite, nor will it ignite for upto 25 minutes after the engine/ignition has been turned off - this is to stop ignition of gas in petrol stations.

Thanks for that I was on a site last night with no phone signal it worked fine on electric so I will try it later ( I was thinking along the lines of an airlock myself ) but due to being thick ;-] it's always good to hear others opinions .
I will post how I got on later.

Thanks to all ...

Gave it a go today and it seems fine
Looks like an airlock.
Thanks for all the info

Mine's got a window in the bottom left hand side of the back of the fridge where you can see the flame. No idea how you can get to it to light it though.
