Dometic fridge

Why are Dometic fridge parts so expensive. The door shelves on ours don’t seem to like the cold and snap regularly. These are over £30 each! Does anyone know where these can be bought at a better price or how they can be protected in some way?
 
They are expensive for what they are, ours has the middle door shelf missing but we can live without it.
