just had Practical motorhome delivered and it appears the good dld tech tower has yet another manufacturing fault. that could lead to a gas leak. All 7-series models RM7601,RM7605,RM7651,RM7655,RM7801,RM7851,RM7855,RMT7651,RMT7655,RMT7851,and RMT7855 are affected apparently some have been assembled with inferior screws and can if they become loose affect pressure on the gas valve outlet causing a leak. I have contacted my dealers who did not know of the problem. However I have just had a call back from a chap at Dometic who assures me he is in the process of contacting all the dealers to arrange sending the new brackets to secure the cooling unit. Apparently its a very quick job if the original bracket screw hasnt sheared, you can check by removing bottom grill and the cooler unit is in the middle next to the gas valve. if it has sheared pressure could have damaged the pipe and that would need to be replaced too. The oven unit is not affected and can still be used but the fridge freezer can only be used on 230 or 12V, icidently the phone number given in the article for Dometic is wrong so call your dealer first. no queue jumping mind cos im off this weekend.
