Took the mh for its first MOT today. Got home about 1.15 pm, looking forward to my lunch only to realise that I had not picked up my front door key with the mh keys. SWMBO was at work, so spent the afternoon in the mh listening to an audio book on my iPod. Had a cream tea at a local cafe for lunch. Wasn't such a bad day after all!!!!

Obviously it passed It did, didn't it?

The MOT is the only thing mine has passed this year. Everything else, including bloke on a bike, has passed uss

My small white van was at the local garage for repairs a couple of weeks ago and it wasn't until I'd walked home from the garage leaving it there, that I realised I'd forgotten to take the house keys off the key ring with the van keys. Doh! Luckily it's only a 10 min walk. The dog was well chuffed with a repeat walk.

take it it passed that is one good thing mind you have spare front door key burried in garden +{parkinspace border{it just there sshould i need it mins you havent check it still there wel it should be unless foxes have dug it up

LOL, OH I think you should now seriously consider moving where your spare house key is but don't tell us where it's new hiding place is :lol-053:

Unfortunately it wasn't a happy ending, the bill for a new battery and new front spring was nearly £200 and a pre-MOT check revealed a further £300 approx of repairs. And that price doesn't include fixing the oil leak because he couldn't see where it was coming from and I have to power wash the engine before taking it in next week for the next lot of repairs and MOT :(

OH is hoping some kind hearted bugler will leave him something:)

Morning Jonas, I took my MH for a Full service and new cambelt yesterday, whilst it was in they also fitted a new engine battery and a new locking fuel cap - total bill - £420 which I thought was an absolute bargain. I can thoroughly reccomend them as they service my car and company van as well, they are not too far from you - Tackwoods, Little end road, Eaton Socon.

Would this be too far for you Somelier?

Mornin' Rob

I do all my own servicing and repairs. bill of £420 would just about tip the somewhat frugal Ms Jonas over the edge! She is already feeling out of sorts since our local 'Poundshop' went bust. :rolleyes:

well they got to find it ifirst it is under that plant or that p;ant o ri s it under the hemp plant lol well dont have that worry about cost at moment gave away a hand knotted 9x6 run to mechanic and said it pays the bill for next lot of of work that needs doing and maybe a few more jobs well he going to sort out rusty bit and do some welding when he gets the time and if it was a female bugler {jonas } maybe she could play a tune like they say many a good tune played on a old fiddle {oop shouldnt have gone there }

Normally, my house key is with the mh keys, but I took it off a while ago for some reason. Now firmly back on the ring!

Yes the mh passed, no problem. Mind you, as it's only 3 years old (this was its first MOT), I would have been very annoyed if it failed, especially as I'd only recently had it serviced.

Robmac - I get the MOT done at a place in in Bakewell. Really nice people and no messing about. Been using them ever since we bought our first mh.

mind you i would have been more than peeved if it failed after 3 years but mine is 21 years old like isaid before it is two tone white and rust lol
