Going to france with my dog in May, (she has her Passport). can anyone recommend a vet in france that can check my dog and stamp her form, before we come home, Anywhere within 200mile of calais will do.

Depends on your route really.

You will need to book an appointment for the tick and worm treatment and travel to UK between 24-48 hrs after treatment.

We have used vet at:

Forges-les-Eaux (aire opp municipal campsite)

1. Rue de Neufchatel
Forges-les-Eaux 76440

Tel 00 33 235905555 (from UK or if using mobile in France)

from landline in France 0235905555

surgery times M-S 13.45 to 14.30 and 1800 to 19.15

There is a vet at Nort-sur-Erdre. It is walkable from the Aires in town or you could drive. about 10 min walk away.
Tel 00 33 240722257

I don't seem to have the address on my phone but you will probably find in in pages jaune (the french yellow pages).

Haven't been to that one.

Arques (an Aire here)
A bit of a walk and quite expensive we thought.

Arques 62510

A lot of people use the Calais one Dr Christine Petry? i don't have that one or use it as I prefer to be a days drive away. again view french yellow pages for map and address.

Thanks for that Zulurita. any more out there and I will add them to my list.

With Eurotunnel I can cross over with my van (cheapest) for 48€. Seems OK to me...
But !!! for 2 dogs I have to pay 79€ extra:eek:
I mesured it. One dog (Parson Jack Russell) (OK, they are great dogs in a small package) must be higher than 1,85m and longer than 6m.
to fit in the train. :(
I just wondered are these French or British logics (it ain't belgian for sure)
If these mesurements are correct, I put my van on their backs and we'll swim
over :D

Hi all, we take our two pugs with us all over and must say did get sick of being asked £60 for them to remain in the car on the ferrie, so asked why we had to pay, Well the ferries don,t get the money it goes to our goverment, more money for them to waste in our names.
