I may be the only dog owner who sets off without emptying the dogs water bowl , which then proceeds to self empty at a rate dependent on road inclines and bend and braking speed , but if I am not alone i can recommend these having bought the smaller bowl yesterday and filled it before driving to Spey Bay along the coastal route it keeps our two dogs going for hrs so I should imagine the large one to be for extremely large dogs .
First link is smaller bowl second large size

They have a float device which my dogs had no problem with hard to describe but world well and you don't need to dismantle to fill just pour the water in and the float adjusts.

Thanks for that I think I shall get my ex one of those for Xmas. she always used to moan about "Cant we stop for a drink".

I should add that I didn't use the provided velcro pads and the dish didn't go a-roaming so imagine they aren't really needed .
@Donkey I can think of a few come backs for that one :) how about,
She probably needed one travelling with you ..... only joking :)

We've had one of these for a few years for our Rottie and they're great. They do get a bit slimey at the bottom if not taken apart and rinsed thoroughly when you refill it (the top is tightly fitting and can be hard to pull off) and also cos her muzzle sometimes rubs on the side when she takes a drink there are always dog hairs floating on the surface of the water making it necessary to change the water frquently.

Sue:)

Thanks Sue I will do a daily bowl clean in that case which will I think still save me time on cleaning up the vinyl after spills plus trying to wedge my ample posterior between the duetto fittings to perform said clean up

Hi. We had same problem, kept getting wet floor as used to forget to put it away. The new none spill bowls are brilliant. I dont use the velcro pads either and it doesnt move. An excellent product.

There's another way to sort this which works for me.

I have a large high sided heavy ceramic water bowl sitting in the middle of a round drinks tray.

Because it's large and high sided, you don't need to fill it that much to have lots of water in it. And on the odd occasion that it spills, the tray catches the overflow. (Oh, and because the bowl's heavy, it stays put in the middle of the tray.)

We have a "no-spill" bowl which is fine while moving, the trouble and spilling occurs when Mr Oasis puts his feet on it!!!

dish

yes i have one of these dishes they are great, but i have a boxer :( and she is STILL messy, water leaks out of her mouth five mins after she stops drinking :)

Oh Canalsman the dogs would have to go to make room for your set up in our duetto..... come to think of it that is a thought.... I could grow flowers in the bowl...or cacti, minimal water then....

your not the only one who drives off with the waterbowl sloshing away! We also very often find bits of his dry food rolling around as we are driving as our dog has a habit of taking his biscuits out of the bowl and stepping away and eating them off the floor. :lol-053:
