https://ibb.co/JC5L08d We found ourselves here on one of our French wanders, nice free Aire here all services , lovely town on a large river and also a super canal, which was busy with boat traffic, we walked along the canal one day whilst there to a Marina where we saw several Motorhomes camped, we spoke to one couple there who were from Ireland and they said they had been there several days for free, we were going to move our van to the Marina too, but decided it was too much hassle as it was very hot whilst we were there and just opposite where we were parked on the Aire was an outdoor municipal swimming pool [LIDO]? as we used to call them as kids and we wanted to have a swim, so we stayed put and had our swim. There was a German van on the Aire near us and I noticed that it had a flat tyre, so I spoke to a lady who was with the van and asked if she was aware of the flat tyre, she was and said that her Husband had arranged for a tyre fitter to attend the van to fix the tyre , he had called and looked at the tyre and said it would take a couple of days to get a tyre , I don't know why as it looked like a bog standard tyre to me any way that was how it was, the German Lady said her Husband had abandoned her and flown back to Berlin where she said that he was a very important person or so he thought , she looked up in the air as she said this with a snear so all was not well there we thought, fancy leaving your wife alone and just flying off when there was a problem, nowt so queer as folk as they say hee hee, We had long walks along the canal ,it passed over the river on a long aquaduct and the whole area was very scenic,.A gaggle of people turned up below the aire in the park , walkers they were, they had a picnic lunch and some sort of meeting and then all wandered off, we like people watching, do you ?
