For those heading off to France, diesel is still much cheaper in France so fill up when you arrive in France, but avoid motorway service stations as the price is 1.55 euros plus. Cheapest we found (just returned at weekend) was at the Intermarche, or E.Leclerc supermarket chains. Price at these vary from 1.33 to 1.36 euros which is £1.07 per litre as against UK of circa £1.43 per litre. SoperU's were reasonable price also.

GPL is circa .79 euros, but right across Belgium the price seems to be fixed at .58 euros per litre even on the motorways, but diesel was way cheaper in France.

................and don't forgert to fill your tank in France before you return to the UK.

Deisel is £1.36 at the mo in Thetford and thats on the A11. At Tesco half a mile away it is £1.44.9

Wish I could find petrol at £1.36 where I live and as for rip off Tesco's, I stopped shopping there 7 years ago when they refused to allow the use of a valid discount voucher at the checkout!!
 
Today here in Spain I paid 1 euro 32 cents per litre.:wave:

Lidl also had an offer on it's 3 litre box of Merlot (13 % alcohol) for 4.5 euros per box and whilst it's not at the top end of wines, it's very palatable indeed. So 4 bottles of wine to one box = 90 pence a bottle. Ken, can you top that in Spain?:banana:

hi. lidl in spain do a nice conde noble carton .a litre for 56 cents so we cant beat that . plus there solera brandy is lovelly . but then i would know about that.hee hee . see you soon ken .well in winter time .i hope .
 
hi. yes i once emptied a few lidl of solera . they had a special offer 3.49 euro a litre you just got to take the full shelf full .then visit the next one . only bought 63 bottles or litres . mmmm . lovely . the wine is great ,. if going to a party just decant it . folk dont like the cartons .tip into other bottles then they say its nice.
bit like the pays de laude or herault sold in france in the 5litre plastic barrels . every one in france drinks it but if going visiting get a bottle its posher . i,m sure david knows what i mean.
 
thats the way to do it . we used to like the french adelscot beer as well .mmm .
