Delays at Dover Wednesday 18th July

The Olympic Torch will be at Dover next Wednesday 18th July and there are severe delays expected for travellers to the Port of Dover. Many roads will be closed from about 1700hrs or earlier all ending in a big firework display on the esplanade.

For anyone travelling to Dover for a ferry, the suggestion is to use the M2/A2 and come into Dover down Jubilee Way and straight into the Eastern Docks. The M20 will be a disaster!!!

There is only 1 cruise ship in - the Saga Sapphire - she will be in the Western Docks which may be difficult to get to.

p.s. - there is also a Firework Display (of course) over the harbour between 2000 and 2200.
