On 14th June the removal men are coming to pack my house contents and put them into storage ... for a year or two!

So it's full time for me, though it won't be a huge change given I already spend well over half the year in the 'van.

I'm off to Wales then the west coast of Scotland. Thereafter? We'll see ...

Catch you on the road :D

Hey You, SO YOUR DOING IT !

Good luck, But it’s not as if it’s new to the lifestyle, you’re a bit of a Pro as it is, but it certainly ‘Can’ feel deferent when you have No Safety Net So to speak !.
Hope to catch you out n about.

(Stay in Touch !)

Great news, fulltime is a little different.

Well meant advice on storage, I did the same sentimental things aside biggest mistake ever ! costly and when you get things out have been stood so need coaxing to work and risk of damage etc

Perhaps worth a thought ? If I full timed again I would be a bit more mercenary invariably still store again but only the sentimental stuff

I reckon that when you get to west wales you will want to stay.

It's an absolutely beautiful place.

You may as well pack BOREDOM away into storage.
You won't have time for that, over the next couple of years.
Good luck.

The reason for using storage is I'm selling my house in Cheshire and will at some point buy a place in Surrey near my daughters.

I'm going to have an aggressive sort out next week with the intent of keeping what is useful/sentimental. Lots of scope for reduction methinks!

Good luck, Chris - we're hoping to do something similar soon, so may catch you on the road further down the line! :D

Lucky so and so! We'd go full time if we could but not in the position to yet. Enjoy your travels and drive safe.

Regards,
Del

Nikki gives me a fair bit of freedom, but full time may just be a day or two too many. She dosn't care for the camper life. Or is just too busy ATM, one or the other. She says I never listen to her, er! I think that's what she said.
All my best wishes to you though.

I will post occasional updates regarding my progress and hopefully I will meet up with others here who are full-timing.

Nesting Zombie is one such with whom I hope to rendezvous :D

We moved from a 4 bed detached to a 6m MH.expecting to be away for 3 years, after which, we'd settle down in a small house between the 2 grannys.
We gave loads of stuff to the local hospice and stored the rest.
Every year we would come back and sort out stuff for the hospice... It made it easy and cut storage costs. Year 4, A granny died. The other, much older, went into a care home.
Year 5, we bought the hovel in Portugal. A final clear out to the hospice and the rest, including sentimental stuff and photo albums, was shipped out to Portugal.
14 years later, we've still got unopened cases of stuff in the storeroom.
Be ruthless when you put stuff into storage.
Giving it to charity, helps others and you can feel that you've done some good in this world.
You can always buy some more stuff, more modern, when you do finally settle down.
