Anyone know of stopovers in the Tynemouth area? (preferably near a metro link so I can get into Newcastle without the van) any suggestions would be welcome please.

Depends how close to Tynemouth you need - there is the Drift Inn at Seaton Burn - although there was some discussion of it changing hands. Latest post on http://www.wildcamping.co.uk/forums/northumberland/2814-seaton-burn-stopover-newcastle.html suggests it's still available as a stopover.

I'm not sure how close it is to a metro station though.

Tynemouth is awash with double yellow lines and parking meters. If you can broaden your area a bit, I may be able to help. How long is it for?
