Just back from a 11345 kms trip from Calais France along the coast line all the way to Spain, Portugal, back into Spain, then headed for Hamburg, spending time in Denmark. Never once touched a Freeway. That was fun.
Now the good news for the guys who are like Ann and myself, (Sand, Sea,Sun) in short, Beach Bums (at 64, not bad) place called ERICEICA in Portugal, just short of the town, up on the hill is a viewing spot with wooden steps leading down to the carpark. Backtrack down the hill for 500m and take the first left onto a dirt track. Perfect spot for as long as you want. All the water you want from the carpark area. Beautiful views, not much for swimming but great for surfing.Try SANT PERE PESCADOR, direction French border on the Riveria side. park in the car park just out side the beach, water from the beach shower. Next door is a camping site, avoid it. In Denmark is an island called ROMO 10km x 6km of sand. You can drive onto it from 09:00 to 21:00 right to the edge of the water, take care, follow sand tracks to stay on solid ground. Of the beach is a massive car park with shops and toilets. For more finer details drop us a line and i will fill you in

Oyster Sat: System

Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have an Oyster 3 sat: self seeking dish. To operate the dish I have a long lead which is connected to the sat: receiver, which has an infra red button switch. I point it at the sat: receiver and push the button, this starts the dish to lift and then search. It is not functioning any more. Checked the fuse and anything else I can think off. Even had a sat: engineer in. No luck. Been told it is out of date and cannot get to repair it. The receiver is a HAAFT make (German) Would appreciate it if some one can advice me. Thanks, David

David & Ann, can't help with the sat system but very interested in your journey to Spain, Portugal, Hamburg, Denmark etc. I've just retired - relatively young at 54 but would love to speak to you about your journey - or e-mail you. How do I contact you ?

Fill you in on our galavanting from Calais to Denmark. You gotta reckon with a minimum time of 4 months to do this trip. We done it for under £2000 all inclusive, e.i. Ferry return, gas, food and anything you can think of. David
