The Dart Charge for account holders in Class B ( Cars, Motorhomes, etc. ) is going up from the 1st October 2018 from £1.67 to £2.00 per crossing.

It is the only class that is affected :mad2:

I`ll still keep my account as it`s worth it for the convenience of not having to think about paying within the 24 hour period.

Thought I had an account and didn't pay last trip , came home to a letter telling me I had been fined for non-payment .
Appealed on the grounds I had an account . Appealed dismissed as I had no account . Re-appealed on (slightly flimsy) grounds that I hadn't intentionally avoided payment .
Appeal was successful , just have to pay crossing fee .
This is the second time I've screwed up payments (pure dopiness) for Dartford crossing . Both times they have been helpful and allowed me to pay late . Quite impressed their ethos appears to help rather than penalise .
Maybe I should make sure I've got an account next time !

Perhaps bridge maintenance hasn't been up to scratch.
And after Genoa....they're a bit nervous, well someone's
got to pay for the respray.!

Even though it's increased it's still cheaper than paying for each crossing. I top up my account manually rather than automatic top up.
