damp?

Hi Everyone

This is my first posting and a little advice please.

Today we went looking at a Autotrail Scout when we opened one of the top cupboards we noticed a patch on the wall inside when i prodded it with my finger it was soft and spongy and it left a indentation in the wall.
Could anyone tell me what this could be (DAMP?)

p.s. we are looking for our first motorhome and are very cautious

firstly,how old was it,how much and was it private or a dealer?
but generally unless its very cheap I would walk away becaure its a buyers market at the moment...I once repaired a caravan that had damp and I put alot of hours into it-getting a repairer to do it-better give them a blank cheque.good luck

walk away there are plenty out there.
at least your looking in the right places
