Hi guys a bit of advice needed please, dementia has kicked in again despite reversing sensors & a very good reversing camera I've pranged the van, as age creeps up I've found my concentration is creeping down, I don't think it's too bad and am going to have a go at repairing it myself.
My plan is to clean the underside snap the crack together then apply epoxy resin to the underside crack covering it with a about an inch wide resin, when set I will drill a hole at the end of the crack face to stop it spreading, then dremill the face side crack out a bit and fill with gel coat, when set sand down the gel coat crack flush then spray with a paint match.
What do you guys think ? Is this about right or is there a better way.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Fibreglass and resin the panel to to secure and strengthen the crack
When dry and ferm open crack to fill use marine gell coat filler as lt is waterproof
Sandpaper and refill finish with smooth wet and dry use wet
Marine filler is white
To paint use 1 coat of etch primer several coats of primer flat with 1200 wet or dry use wet until smooth then paint and laqur repair polish with 3 g compound then wax polish

Sorry about the damage but you said " dementia has kicked in again despite reversing sensors & a very good reversing camera I've pranged the van, as age creeps up I've found my concentration is creeping down," I hope you are joking but if not you may consider it time to give up driving before you do some serious damage to yourself or some other innocent road user. I know what I say may seem unkind or harsh and I hope you are joking but if not think on. That's the only advice I would offer, I do hope to hear it's a joke and I hope you get the repair sorted without too much difficulty.
