We are going to cumbria on Thursday.
can anyone let me know if there are any good spots to park the motorhome.
looking to climb \scafell pike on New years day...:)

there are two of us so will need a little space.

Also where are the best pubs for real ale.

Hi, can't advise myself but there are some suggestions on this site, Go to forums,then scroll down to England then Cumberland.

Hi Jay,
Seawaite farm is a good place to start it, the farm also has a campsite for about £4 or £3 per head a night and its as close to wild as you can get also if you do not want to camp there you can park near the farm anyway as all the hillwalkers do.
there are pubs in Keswick and you will pass some on the way to Seawaite

Jay dont forget to take your winter thermal underwear with you, and take care its got a good chance to be ice:eek: up scarfell pike matey
 
Hi Jayshell and Merry Christmas.

Did Scarfell Pike from Wasdale many years ago, and I believe there are some good wild camping spots there. Have also heard that the Wasdale Head Inn is good. (Not personal experience).

The large grassy parking place close to the Wasdale head Inn
Ive used it in the past with no probs
