The POI appears to identify the carpark go the Northeast of the A40
This has various signs
1 No Sleeping
2 No Cooking
3 Only occupy 1 Bay
(4 No breathing !)

All of these seem to make it unsuitable
If yo go a bit (50metres) further and turn right
( so other side of the A40 )

A very large area which is a car/lorry park behind Tesco and Spar.
A few lorries there (mainly good except if refrigeration units running)
Also a few motorhomes
Out the way.

IMO the best place.

We arrived just after midnight last night and having "looked at the carpark" found this spot
Now nearly 10 am and we can breakfast and shower without worrying.

Tesco and Spar shops ALSO Autogas adjacent

When I look at it online using the POI Map, and in the previous (July) version of the POIs using Google Earth, the POI location is clearly set at the location of the entrance to the large parking area behind Tesco/Spar that you describe.

As Tom has said, the POI is correctly located so I'm unclear why you found yourself in the wrong place.

I have stayed in the car park and can recommend it. There's a pleasant walk from here too from the south western corner of the car park.

Other unsuitable car parks are very very close and would probably incur a penalty charge.

It is good that it is the entrance that is given.

Ageed it is a good location.

The POI locations are always set to the entrance of a car park or aire.

Layby locations are usually at the centre of the layby except where entrance is only permitted at one end.

There should be no ambiguity
