Has any of you been to Croatia in their Motorhome, I'm looking for tips on stop overs, things to see and routes, in fact any information would be great.

Thanks in advance

Take the Belguim / Luxembourg route to save on tolls and fill up in Luxembourg as it’s cheap, Salzburg worth a stop over, Ljubljana and Trieste definitely, Novi Vinodolski is lovely.

No issues wilding but be mindful of your surroundings especially on the coast.

We have meandered down to Stobrec A couple of times in the past, lovely trips.
Cheap fuel. Martelange. 6 or 7 fuel stations along the the main road.

Wildcamping is illegal in Croatia so be aware of that and don't park up in obvious places, the police will move you on. Negatives complete. Croatia is wonderful, people are friendly and most youngsters are multilingual. You must go to Plitvic Lakes, it's astounding and as it's more touristy for the Croatians than us foreigners it's cheaper. Dubrovnik is lovely but avoid going when a cruise ship is in (they normally leave by 4.00pm) or school holidays as it will be inundated by Game of Thrones fans in.

Split and Zadar are worth a visit and try to get onto one of the many islands such as Hvar, the views are stunning.

Can I also recommend you step into Bosnia and take the beautiful run to Mostar which has a history enfolding pre-Roman right up to our memories and the story of Mostar bridge is enthralling.

Enough to be going on with?

Enjoy

We were there in 2019.
No obvious sign of any wild camping.
We used camperstops which were basic camp sites, paying between £6 and £20 a night.
Worth going, take euros with you as a lot of places preferred them to local currency.

I'll watch this as Croatia is on our future list. (y)

You can travel down through Germany and Austria toll free to northern Italy and then I believe you can cross the small part of Slovenia toll free too, to get into Croatia.
Exactly right Graham

Spent 6 nights in total wilding in Croatia 2016. Didn't know wild camping was illegal. No issues at all in the whole of the Balkans. Mind you most were inland except one in a beautiful headland.

Morning. I’m sitting here just outside Senj overlooking the sunny sea. We’re spending 7 weeks exploring Slovenia and Croatia. Went via Belgium and Luxembourg, then the German romantic route, Salzburg and Ljubljana. I recommend spending some time around Bled and Bohinj. You’ll need vignettes for Austria and Slovenia if using any motorways.

If you are over 3500kg you need a GoBox on board unit for Austria not a vignette.

Doe anyone know if this is the same for Slovenia if you are over 3500kg?

Yes you will Graham, the Slovenia version is called DarsGo, I think you can still register your vehicle on line, V5 details etc and then pick up the box at the first garage/service area on entering.
