For the second time, lol, not getting it replaced again as it is rather expensive. Went down a bump in the road and the rear end grounded, it's still in one piece but now have a couple of cracks. Will band aid it for now, can anyone suggest a permanent fix - some kind of glue?

Someone will be along with the name of a boat repairer who has been getting great reviews on here for fibre repairs.also depends on what part of the country you are located at

If its something like ABS, PP, EDPM, plastic, a repair can quite easily be done by using a soldering iron and a suitable plastic coat hanger as filler rod.

hi
like has been said ive repaired a few with a large soldering iron.
but not if its made of fiberglass will need fiberglass repair kit.

I repaired my chausson one with a hot soldering iron from the inside and it worked really well. the only thing is to make sure you tidy up the outside face and paint it with the same colour.

Thanks for the suggestions! Within minutes of posting a nice Swiss lady saw me looking at the bumper and appeared with an araldite type glue mixing kit. Done the job for now will have to do it properly on our return

Hi

Hi you don't need special tools, just run an electric soldering iron along the crack, melt a cable tie into the crack with a dabbing motion sand off high spot and fill with plastic filler and paint
