Corrosion preventative for underneath van?

Does anybody know if this is the sort of thing you could use to coat/protect underneath your van?

If so, looks like it might be a bargain for someone if the price doesn't run away.

(2cv might know...?)

Fuchs PX-11 Corrosion Preventative
I don't think it says where it is, then plus 20% then plus 20% vat.

With rust proofing there are so many ways of doing it at so many different costs.

So its like saying how long it a piece of string.

One thing I know for sure if you look underneath a car that has been leaking engine oil for years, that oil stops rust, in some parts of the world they spray old engine oil underneath cars to stop corrosion.

I spray my vehicles with new full synthetic 5-50 oil, I mask off the brakes first!

Old engine oil is very dirty stuff & can cause health problems like dermatitis So I'd rather spend a bit & keep my local garage happier.

You can mix oil with Isoflex liquid rubber at the rate of 75% Isoflex to 25% oil, it sprays on fine & will creep in to the nooks & crannies where most corrosion takes place.
It takes longer to cure but that's ok with me!

As above dinitrol is good but remember to do the inside of doors sills and all box sections, just squirting stuff under the van will not do a lot for the thin box cab sections.
Engine oil is old hat and mot make you steam wash it of here.
The tin of paint you show is a single pack rust protector, two pack zink rich epoxy is best but has to be put on a shot blasted surface so no good for what you want,go with the dinitrol or old waxol which is better than nout.

As I mentioned in a previous post, which was in jest, however, when I used to manu ROV's and other subsea stuff, threaded bosses always welded on to facilitate anodes, which were bought in and tailor made.

I should have realised😀, however when my mate was at sea on oiltankers they used to have silver sacrificial anodes for corrosion protection, not all of them found their way onto the metal work, quite a few of them ended up being reshaped into rings.

I use ACF-50 on the bike, seems to work well. Just don't get it on the tyres or discs:scared:

Best stuff on the market for motorbikes, the 7r and 610 are treated to a liberal spraying 4 times a year.
The iveco still has a Schulz type of sealant that’s pretty intact after all these years, but will get a good scrape off this summer, with acf50 being applied to where it has come unstuck.

Remember steel box sections like the cab etc rust from the inside out.
A parafin gun and small compressor will squirt into those naughty bits
