Hi

Depends on the tyres you have fitted and gross weight of your vehicle. Go into any large tyre fitting company and they will check and adjust your pressures for free if not busy. They will have a chart showing the range you can set them at and give advise on high speed, soft ground, max load etc.

I think it is 4.5, front and back fully loaded. 3.5t weight (that is the continental figures) in lbs, I don't know. That is my pressure for a Fiat 2.8 tdi, Tyre size: 225/75R/16C. It should tell you in your hand book.

The next time you have a trip in the van: ie loaded as normal with fuel, water etc., call in to a weighbridge and get them to weigh the van and both axles separately. This is the only sure way to know what your pressures should be.

This will first of all tell you if your van is overloaded (many are). It will give you the weight on each axle and the tyre companies can give you the recommended pressure for that particular loading. Although, in saying that, some tyre companies no longer do it.
