Cornwall - suitable stop enroute?

We are booked into a CC site tomorrow in Tintagel Cornwall. The plan was to go early in the morning. I've since had a thought to go this evening after hubby gets home from work. We will be leaving North Wales and wondering if anyone knew of a suitable stop over enroute. The hope would be to get to the end of the M5.

If you look a little way down the forum you will see a post from 'robred,'
He is offering advice to anyone who wants it for the Cornwall area. We hope to be down that way ourselves, but not till 17th. We don't 'do ' Easter these days..we wait till after the children have gone back to school.

Have looked at that post earlier. We are booked into sites from wed till next wed - it was more for a stop off enroute. Aims are to miss the morning rush-hour around brum etc I'm presently unable to drive and feel that North Wales to Cornwall quite long trip without a swop over for hubby. So thought a stop half way say would be better and breaks up the drive for us all.
