hi i have a 1994 hymer b654 timeline classic. like a lot of the older style motorhomes the fixed bed was just a foam mattress on a piece of plywood not comfy and on an extended trip gets damp and moldy underneath. get this months MMM magazine you will see an article and pictures of how i converted mine to a sprung slatted base and a new/secondhand sprung mattress, theres a 2 inch air gap beneath, its hinged and is comfier than my bed at home! all details and where to get the frames off ebay are in the article if any one wants any more info please contact me here or email
