Control Knob for Electrolux RM6501

on my Electrolux RM6501 Fridge/Freezer the control knob broke where it grips on to the metal spindle coming out from the fridge. I manage to fix it by gluing it back together and I found a bit of rigid plastic tubing which just slips over that section and holds it together. Now it is starting to wear inside and loosen again.
There are knobs for this model for sale that are for the thermostat but not for the power selection switch, the spindle on the thermostat knob is longer and the knob sticks out from the fridge which isn't ideal.
They obviously don't make these knobs any more and was just wondering if anyone has found an alternative that fits

the knob in this listing is for the thermostat, the knob to select the power source has a shorter stem
