Thanks for all your good wishes - we are all well
We are now home and I think mother and baby will be home this afternoon too. Expect to go back to Musselburgh to help early next week and if all is well leave on our continental trip soon after.

Some questions answered:

Knitting finished, although I decided to knit a quick blanket which I was finising after she went in on Tuesday and more packed ready for the next trip - any tips on how to keep knitting clean in a van and needles straight would be welcome :?
First champagne cracked as double celebration at lunchtime on Wednesday as it was also my mother's 95th birthday! Have not yet got stuck in to the whisky
She is the third great grandaughter for my elderly parent - no great grandsons yet - funny how it goes
