Some time ago some one had a problem with a leaking roof .Sorry i can not remember who ,just wondered if you got it fixed ok.The reason i ask ,have been talking to some other people and it seems there has been a few problems on vans built and it has been condensation, due to the type of insulaion in the roof.

I found I had water coming into my cab just at the sun visor.
Had it repaired on it's first habitation check in October.
Drove it home after it had been lying out for 2 nights in torrential rain and it was still lashing down on driving it home.
No further water ingress was found to occur.

hi it may have been me, i had a leak a few weeks ago seemed to have cured it but noticed this morn damp patch on roof lining . it seems to be where the roof rack is fitted to the van i have cleaned all th old sealer off the mountings but it looks as if i am going to have to remove a section of internal roof lining to completely cure the problem :eek:

I sold my C I because Brownhills said i had damp in roof ,when i thought it was just condensation but have no regrets ( even though i felt conned )as now have Hymer and got a fair deal on it in the end.

Condensation

Sorry was not more details.Apparantly it is were the bulkhead wouuld be in a van ,were the back fits the front, it would run down from roof. Some models have been affected, they are redoing the insulation. The person i was thinking of was about 9 months ago, i think it was a new fiat van, with a elldis sunseeker built built on the back.
