Comparing fuel prices in Europe

A very good site for comparing fuel prices in Europe is http://www.aaroadwatch.ie/eupetrolprices/ this site also gives you the fuel price in Euros for the non Euro countries. The site is very useful when you are planning a trip through several countries.

I use it mainly to compare the fuel prices as against checking the actual price per litre.

I was surprised by the high diesel costs in Germany and Italy, diesel is almost €0.25 per litre more expensive in these two countries than in Luxembourg.

Safe travelling

Hi Don
Don't know where AA get there prices from but we travelled down from Calasis on the 5 / 6 November and paid €1.17 plus for diesel. Prices are still running at these levels. For more accurate data on France see www.carbeo.com. I have looked at the AA site before and always found it to be behind the times.

I have always found that cheaper fuel is at soper markets like CHAMPIONS.
In September 07 we paid 1.02 per litre euros, we had seen it 4 0.98 wow.

The general rule is get fuel off the beaten track something we probably all know :):):)

Can you advise where? We drove though France in early September and prices were about $1.07 with Luxembourg at €0.97.

As with the UK supermarkets are usually the cheapest.

Prices in the Tarn, France today are about €1.20 (about 84p / litre) -only consolation is that it is cheaper than the UK.
