CMC or CCC?

Dropped CaMC last year, hadn't used any of their Club or CL sites for at least 5 years as they are just too expensive.

Been a member of C&CC for about 33 years, am a Veteran member so get annual membership half price now. Have stayed on 4 Club sites so far this year - Devizes, Wolverley, Nottingham ad St Neots. Just got back this afternoon from St Neots. 7 nights for £71.75. Can't beat it.

Wish I'd known Caz, I would have come over and said hello, only a couple of miles from me.

We'd have veteran status by now if it hadn't been for a four year break -- we've been members for all but that four years since 1986 but only 21 reckonable consecutive years :( That said, we stayed at a local campsite last November: £5 per night for 16 nights including EHU and free use of the indoor swimming pool. Unfortunately, the site is unlikely to repeat that deal as it's just come under new ownership...

Can you now book for 1 night on the CCC sites and their CS sites, some years ago we could not do this.
CMC, no one has mentioned do far how ridiculously expensive their sites are now, but agree with the comments on their petty rules, no splitters allowed now on the electric, ridiculous rule, wardens cannot explain why.

Presumably because 2 vans sharing 1 EHU will use twice as much electricity and constantly trip the switch?

In addition - from the CCC site;

"The use of electrical splitter cables is prohibited on Clubsites as they do not conform to the wiring standards. Additional appliances must only be connected via the electrical mains sockets within your camping unit as these are protected by the habitation MCB and RCD controls"

So I presume that they are just covering themselves rather than being deliberately petty. I can sort of understand this as they probably don't want the responsibility of checking every lead for cable size and waterproof connections etc. and they could be liable in the case of an accident.

Yes,No,Maybe.
It varies with season, day of week, and site. For CS's there is no overall policy on minimum, I guess individual site owners might have rules, but have never encountered them.

For most club sites, excluding lake district and very popular sites, if you book up one day before arrival there is no minimum stay, although franchised site might insist on minimum stay, if you book up greater than one day before arrival it's generally 2 nights for any type of pitch during high season and also two nights for electric pitches on any other weekend.
