I have been a member of both the CC and the C&CC. I much prefer the C&CC but we only use the Certified Locations as we find their main sites too expensive.

The discounts you get with both clubs for ferrys etc and access to CL's makes joining worthwhile IMHO. The C&CC also do a lot of rallies all year round and some of those are very cheap. If you have kids then its a great way to meet like minded people.

thats what we are looking for and would like to meet others as the last few years we have gon to florida and stayed in a villa whitch is nice but there is no interaction with others for us or the kids whitch is a dissapointment as i think the kids are missing out.

Hi,
your already a member of the best club:D
The C&CC gives you an extra option for stopovers, and you can use the sites for a fee to top up on water, do some washing, shower, empty loo etc.

Happy Camping:)

I am a CC member and tbh I have never found anyone that stuffy, albeit on occasion you can see the potential.

One thing that might be worth considering is how each club prices pitches and electricity. is it pitch ? person ? etc awnings spare cars etc

As an example if I stop on the council site at Filey Brigg £13.20 per night whether me or a family of four.

Perhaps for the latter a good deal, but expensive for a solo camper I think.

CC club at West Ayrton £7. per night to illustrate my point

there are 4 of us and teddy the dog ,and the sites we looked at were not cheap for a night when you dont realy need anything but a parking space
for the night ;);)

Motorcaravanners club offer all that the big two offer but dedicated to Motor Caravaners. CLs Holiday meets, Rallies and they are the club that is working with Practical Motor Caravan mag to provide nightstops for all motor caravanners to use.

TBH thats the beauty of a motorhome isnt it ? all we need is a parking space,

I on average can remain self contained for 3 0r 4 days, then the convenience of a site adds to the value of the money spent on a site. battery top up long shower etc.

I have just noticed your location, I did some work in Aberdeen last year, and I must admit although I wasnt in the camper the stretch between Stonehaven and Aberdeen looks to have potential. And thats before Aviemore and wester ross!!|..

I feel a trip coming on ;)
