I have stopped on the sea front you have mentioned, you are far enough away from Blackpool town centre to hear the rowdiness..

Just a few cars going up and down the Prom, But were you are its quite safe.

The layby is long enough for lots of cars vans and motorhomes, so there shouldnt be a problem getting a spot.

Blueboy.

Camp there regularly, never had any trouble, also better still now they've knocked the old toilet blocks down.

John.

Hi Darren, google Princes Way Cleveleys then click on directions and put your post code in and it will bring you up the directions. the best place to park is behind the wall at the back of Anchoreshome park. We are going to-day,we will be in the silver Trigano Tribute.

Cheers,
John.

are there any pubs in walking or stumbling distance:rolleyes:
watch for the yorkshire tyke:D

will be there mid afternoon depending on traffic:(weather look's good :eek:suprize wot no rain:p:D

Will be there overnight on Saturday for a sneck at the lumies and some fish and chips! We'll be in the Adria Van M

Wow - there must have been 20-30 vans on Princes Way last night.
It was our first time there, so I was surprised to find that it was a through-road and quite a well used one too. Much of the road is a concrete surface, which can be noisy; especially with the high flood wall alongside to bounce the sound back. The traffic continued throughout the night, albeit occasional for the most part, but the age old sport of "let's wake the campers" was in full flow: We had big-bore exhausts at full acceleration and several runs past the entire line of vans with continued horn sounding - the worst one being at 3.50am.
Ah well, at least we have a life!!

Had a great week-end, other than the race track and the horn blowing, I've been going there for about 4 years now but this as to be the worst I've known it for the speeding and the horn blowing. Weather was fantastic for a change. Pat and I met up with Owd Arthur & Janice on Fri night for a few beers, and had very good evening.

We saw you in the silver tribby with the personal reg John. You drove past us to turn around this morning. We enjoyed the stay too - shame about the locals - can only put it down to jealousy!

Hi Croftland1, thats exactly what we have said jealousy, Anyway back to work tomorrow.

Cleveley's seafront

Know what you mean about the local D*******ds racing up and down, we have been going to this spot for years but alas no more.
Went a few months ago and some idiots thought it was good fun to race up and down on the wide promenade, which I suppose is the pavement, fortunately there were no children playing, the possible result of there actions does'nt bare thinking about.
The final straw was having eggs thrown at the van by the D*******ds, this I discovered the following morning, " has anybody tried removing egg when its dried? " This is a fantastic place to wild camp, as I said we have been going for years but I will never stay there overnight again.
Hope none of you have the same problems.

also had a great weekend enjoyed the company of pat an john fri nite in club 22 vans parked up this morning as we left to park up in blackpool:eek:another great weekend
good luck at work monday john hope all goes well.
