That is when diesels where diesels (and ment to be heard) take all the fancy sound proofing out of a modern car /van they will sound somthing like :)
I learnt to drive in one of them, but a flat bed boy was it slow
 
yup makes for a tired left leg in town :( and the steering and gear lever play and the cold winters ;)
