I've been feeling sorry for myself

BUt
I had a REALLY LOVELY Christmas Eve and Christmas DAy with the family and grandsons and a getting over it day on Boxing Day
Sunday thats when I began to feel the blues so to speak But then it was Monday Carl got Gladys going and I varnished 3 doors on both sides.
Tuesday spent the afternoon tidying the spare room then ended up spending the rest of the day and evening scanning photoes and putting onto discs. So I went to Brittany, Normandy, Paris and Holmfluer area (can't remember what that area is called) Northern Sapin (Twice) ,( I'll finish Spain off tomorrow morning!!!)It took me twice as long as I had to look at the photoes and remenense. LOTS of happy memories and tears but I have had a great evening.
Wednesday will finish off the photoes and hopefully the spare room. I must admit it doesnot take me long to get diverted from what I really should be doing.
Oh This photoe brought a smile and a giggle as I know the story to go with it :eek::eek:

Have a good New Years Eve

and All the Best For 2010

Well for me I spent Christmas alone in Sherwood forest. And yes happy and dark moments dependant upon my reflections of life so far.

A great time, even managed something loosley resembling a christmas dinner. And the hound was and well and truly walked.

I re entered the real world Sunday refreshed only to find out that the previous day a former colleague had commited suicide on boxing day.

So a strange few days for sure.

Still trying to make sense of it all to be honest.

But i hope the New year is slightly more jovial

Hi Channa, wishing you all the best for the new year, a time for new beginnings. You have your health and your hound, the rest you can build on. If you're at the bottom the only way is up. As the old saying goes, what does'nt kill you makes you stronger!

Happy new year mate!! :D :D

Thanks folks, like you collectively say it does make you stop and wonder!!!

However onwards and upwards as they say

Happy new year

Channa

Didn't do anything :( we were going to go on a MCC rally not too far away but listened to the forecast & we should have been deep in snow. Ordered a Tomtom 750 from Dixons, looking out this morning at a nice sunny day with a clear blue sky wishing we hadn't listened to the forecast.

Had a great Christmas at home in Derbyshire with all four children, their respective partners and two gorgeous grandchildren - our first Christmas in the UK for four years. But despite the good company, we can't face the prospect of a whole winter in this country so we are off to the sun on Sunday. Sorry to hear it didn't go quite so well for some others - hope the coming year holds better things in store for you.
