Advert on p76 of January Caravan Club Magazine:

Selected Stranraer to Belfast and Fleetwood to Larne sailings - motorhomes are charged the ecomomy car fare.

CC members only till 5 January 2011.

Any help?

Why thanks Canalman for that information. Very useful,
Now thanks must also go to AJ as i had a bet as to how long he would take to come up with something as usefull as that.:D:D

We went from Fleetwood to Larne in 2007, it cost in the region of £200 with the flexi ticket option for two of us and the van (Autosleeper Symphony).
Cost includes two meals, breakfast and evening (5pm) plus hot drinks all day.

Thats the way I used to go in the wagon, its 8 hours, but you do get to share the boat with about 70 hairy arsed truckers, food is good, breakfast is average. There's also a bar too.
I used to get the 10pm boat to Larne, getting you in about 6am, then you have all day to get somewhere.
Cheers, Pete

We booked direct on the Stenaline website, we also reckoned that the saving on fuel outweighed the higher fare, and that was before we knew that it included two meals (self service, pile your plate as high as you like). It's worth paying the extra £10 for the flexi option, I had to alter our sailing dates due to being made redundant, because I'd paid the extra tenner, I was able to sail at a later date with no extra cost

It's an 8 hour crossing, there are a couple of TV lounges and a couple of quite ones plus the bar. Take a book on board.

There is/was a rather run down campsite not far from the ferry terminal going north, OK for the first night or keep going North and park up by the coast road somewhere.

Who's a lucky boy then?;)

Actually, when we went, all the wagon drivers disappeared into their cabins and only re-appeared at mealtimes and when we docked, we went during the day though, no doubt it's different on the night sailings.
