Seen a cheap wind turbine on evil bay would this be suitable for recharging batteries?

What is the specification?

Blade Diameter 15 cm

Generator Body Diameter 5cm, Length is 20cm
Generator support rod height is 20cm

Base diameter is 10cm

Start-Up (Rotor start to turn) Wind Speed : 3.5 mph

Cut-In (Generator starts to generate electricity) Wind Speed : 5 mph

The turbine uses a special 3-phase AC low voltage electrical generator. The AC electricity is rectified into DC electricity and is sent to the output connector. The output connector can then be connected to the “Light and Sound” board.

Power Capacity (@ Rotor speed of 2000 rpm) : 1W
Direct Output Voltage (@ Rotor speed of 2000 rpm) : DC 10V
Direct Output Current (@ Rotor speed of 2000 rpm) : DC 100 mA
Direct Output Voltage (@ Rotor speed of 1000 rpm) : DC 5V
Direct Output Current (@ Rotor speed of 1000 rpm) : DC 50 mA
Maximum Output Voltage from Storage Capacitor : DC 6V

Charge-Up Time (Capacitor 0.22F, Wind Speed @ 5 mph) : 1min
Music Box can sound for : 30 min
LED Torch can light for : 15 min

In a word, No.

Looks like a waste of money I'm afraid.

Gives 1/10th of an amp at 6v.
6" rotor diameter.

Better off with a solar panel I would have thought.

Wind turbine

From the fig's quoted it's not even rated at 12v!!!!!! Or am I reading it wrong? As the highest figure is 10v, car batteries require 13.8 - 14.2v to give a 'proper' charge and as it says it only produces 1/10amp you would do better rubbing two boy scouts togther!!!
