Please keep us posted because a Motorhome/Camper ready to rock for a Grand is asking a lot.
If by "Camper" you mean a VW then, quite frankly, I think you've got Buckley's Chance having sold 2 this year. Even the worst one made £5k. I shall be looking to replace the Fleet now that the prices are going to go through the floor. Saw a nice Splitty recently that went for £10k. The man had spent that on the engine alone.
If you've got "cash", my favourite word", then you will get some astounding bargains this coming year; that might sound harsh but it is an economic reality

I paid 900 quid for a '78 Bedford CF Autosleeper with 12 months MOT and 6 months tax back in September. I've been using her as my daily driver and she hasn't missed a beat. Everything works as it should, and it's got a lot more space than my old VW Westfalia. More reliable, more powerful, and uses less petrol too!

There are a some cheapies on Loot , Autotrader and preloved.co.uk

Sorry I've tried to post links without success.

I have a 1971 (tax exempt) classic insurance Mk1 transit with a CI pop top on the back. it is 4 berth with fridge and toilet compartment. Currently not MOT'd but unused since recent 2.5 Diesel fitted, needs tidying. It is in Devon if you would like to view it, not sure where you are. It stands me in at £1600 but as not finished will take £1000.

Try also Gumtree & add nearest City eg:- I use gumtree glasgow. A great site for used wagons plus vans if you wish to convert. Good luck.

bedfords are a real bargain if you dont mind that they can be a bit slow, and parts can seem a little thin on the ground at first. but if you go on the bedford cf forum there is a list of places to get whatever you want, i have a cf1 facelift and its great .
