We had Robbie in the van last night for almost two hours whilst parked up in Glenrothes Riverside Park car park.

Apologies in advance but I cannot go into details, but things are set to improve in Fife, and we should see most if not all of the improvements by next summer, with works commencing this winter.
Robbies aim is to increase available places to 150. There will be significant improvements made to some of the locations, and there will be measures taken to attempt to control numbers in Elie, and Kingsbarns.

I will update the forum with information when I get Robbies go ahead.

As stated above the situation at Elie and Kingsbarns simply is unsustainable, and things need to improve.
But with regards to Elie things are further compromised by the fact that the Trust only serves the higher section of the carpark.
The lower section being owned by a private land owner.
This is what led to all of our parking being moved to the upper section.
There are other issues which I cannot currently go into, which may further exacerbate the situation in Elie.

Robbie recently gave a presentation to members of the Scottish Government including the deputy first minister Kate Forbes.
His positive comments about us, and the efforts by some to improve the situation were well received by all who attended.
Robbie seems confident of a favourable outcome from the Scottish government.

On a lighter note Robbie thanked me for all of my efforts by giving me the cap below.
Apparently I am the only person outside the Trust to have one.
Somehow I don't see me wearing it when out and about. 🙂
Again apologies for being so vague, but I thought I should at least give you an outline of whats going on.

Keep the cap, it's like a free ticket, or pass, to stay anywhere in the county. 😀

Yes, great idea. Why are you parked here sir says the polis man to Bill.

I’m a Ranger says Bill, wearing his cap 🧢 I’m doing Ranger stuff, and you cannot park here to the polis man 😂

Polis man replied, I know you, you support Partick Thistle. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Never mentioned anything but I gave him my views on East Lothian.
But if he met with them that may be a good sign.
I stated they are putting pressure on Fife with their policy.
He did agree, but said nout about any meeting.
I will quiz him on this next time I meet him, but he has to be careful, his job involves politics, and we all know how that can affect things.

As for the bonnet, guess where it’s made…………Fife :)

Good on them for buying local.

You keep the cap, Bill. If it is made in Fife, it will be poor quality. 😕

If the trust want quality caps, they need to look at business’s south of the Queensferry Crossing 👍

So long as they're not in East Lothian :p

Lots of unhappy residents within EL land, Bill. North Berwick residents voted a resounding NO, for parking charges to be implemented around the town. But ELC are carrying on with the implementation, despite their stakeholders opposition to CP charging.

I believe Haddington and Dunbar are under review too, despite town stakeholders in total opposition too. ELC are looking to railroad through the charges too.

BUT, a revolution against Comrade Hampshire may change ELC plans?????

Oh, East Lothian manu'd caps come with a free wind turbine installed at the top. 😊

East Lothian spends more money stopping us than Fife does welcoming us.
What they did at Whitesands just about summed them up.
Creating a mound where we used to park outside their barriers and using double yellow lines in such a remote location was ridiculous. They even sent out wardens all the way out there to enforce their stupidity.
We got chatting to a warden who suggested we use the campsite.
When I told him we do use the campsite when it’s opened but it’s closed now he seemed perplexed. He did not know it’s only opened six months of the year.
The levels of ignorance and incompetence there are remarkable.
Cal indicated Robbie has had a meeting with them, here’s hoping something will come from it. 🤞

The dreaded yellow line machines were in force going to and returning from CCC THS south of Seacliff.
Absolute madness by ELC, the Kremlin shows more democracy than ELC 🫢
