Changing to LED lighting

I also have very small soft lights in bed ceiling and 3 small ones above cab, also one at door step with 3 tiny ones above door and one under the step, all can be light with my remote key switch when returning to van at night.

If the lights and tubes are still working ok I would check what power they actually use before doing anything. I changed one in the kitchen area on my van for a led tube, tube cost 30 odd pounds a few years ago and it uses virtually the same power. I didn't bother changing the only other one which is over the bed.

I changed all the G4 type bulbs and did get a power saving on those, just didn't stack up on the fluorescent tubes. Of course, no saying yours are same power as mine
Now that's a really good idea which I'd never thought of. We have four G4 side lights that we never use because I suspect they use too much power. They seem really easy to change. Anything I should be aware of before I order some? Thanks.

Just soft or daylight,thats all.

Just going to mention something that people either don't talk about or don't know about with LED lighting ...
When it comes to LED Strips you can get two different styles - SMD or COB. The picture below, which is from an Amazon listing, is quite a good example of the difference, especially the two lower pictures comparing the styles.

For plain white strips, I personally much prefer the COB type of strips as it is a continuous light just as the image shows, rather than multiple 'dots' of light.

In terms of light tubes, I would get rid of the tube and starter and instead fit a run of COB strip leds in its place. While not in a motorhome, I did this on the tube light in one of my sheds - removed the starter and wired up the mains input to a 240V-12V lighting transformer, connecting that to a COB strip that was stuck on the length of the light fitting. Got a more efficient, brighter and instant-on light, so really is a Win-Win-Win :)
I would do the same in my Motorhome if I ever actually used the tube lights that are fitted.

Done them. Replaced the original halogen ones with 1.2W LEDs that work a treat and I feel can be used freely without hammering the leisure battery. Just had to be careful with the length of the bulbs because many of the LED ones were longer than the halogen ones, and there didn't seem to be much spare space in the fittings.

A huge improvement. Many thanks for the suggestion.
