I changed the slogan again yesterday, I tried to think what this website was really about.

"The Wild, Fun and Friendly Motorhome Community"

The Wild, Fun and Friendly (and some Grumpy) Motorhome Community :lol-053::lol-053::lol-053:

It's good. Not quite sure exactly what you mean by "wild" though, after some of the goings-on here lately!

How about, "Take nothing but Photo's Leave nothing but tyre tracks"

I think he's been there and done that in the old slogan. And there was endless debate about whether it was appropriate to highlight leaving tyre tracks in the countryside etc etc. I know the original idea comes from photos and footprints but it was somewhat shoehorned into the motorhoming scenario.

As for my part, I don't think it matters one bit what the slogan is, a case in point being WVW, who has posted lots of things, been here a few months, been to a meet, and hadn't noticed the old slogan. It's not the slogan that makes the board it's the posts and the people.

Ha ha, no it means I've got a crap memory :lol-053:

I had noticed it, and remember it now. I liked it but I do think the new one implies that we are a group, a community, a bunch of like minded people coming together, rather than just individuals who share an ethos.

And I think the old slogan was the slogan of another big org, maybe the Ramblers or Council for Protection of Rural England or something to do with the outdoors. I agree that it's perhaps not best to mention tyre tracks. But perhaps it could be adapted to an aim or objective - "we take nothing but photos and other people's rubbish, and leave the countryside as we would like to find it" or words to that effect which would complement the slogan. Just food for thought. But at the end of the day, it is whatever Phil wants it to be.
