Can PAS be fitted to a vintage (1980) Bedfoed CF Coachbuilt motorhome? And if so what sort of price!

Above is a retrofit on a CF2. I used to have a CF2 but it had PAS already as I remember.

Anyway, it is not going to be standard mod on an original CF I don't think. Yes it can be done, but if you don't do it yourself it's not going to be a cheap mod as there looks to be a lot of messing around changing the rack, cutting stuff about to fit, and fitting a non standard steering pump. I'd be surprised if you got much change out of a £1000 and that's if you can find someone willing to take it on.

i had a cf 1 facelift and was on the cf owners site , there was talk of fitting power steering from a transit ,but as far as i can make out its not an easy diy job . i found that my steering was ok a little heavy whilest stood but fine on the move .depends on the tyre size realy . mine had 205 14 fitted when i got it but found the steering heavy and it used to wonder a bit .so i went to the standard fit , for the 250 of 185 14 and found it much better .. how long have you had your van
