Total have sold Cepsa to the abu dhabi government
members who visit spain and use Cepsa gas will know that supplies are patchy at best; hopefully an infusion of oil money will ameliorate this !

i bought a very good spanish.portugese atlas from a cepsa station a few years ago it also shows all the cepsa stations. something to do withanaya touring club. isbn,978-84-9776-945-7 . i bought it because its the best atlas of spain i have seen with all the beach names on it. great for coast touring.not saying all fuel stations carry gas but i do find it very usefull. i use cepsa gas have done since they brought out the stainless bottles . they now do clear plastic bottles keep thinking about it good for filling here in uk. ha ha . you can see the contents then. hee hee . anybody know anything about gennies or aframes .cheers i,m off .alan.

we spend our winters bumbling along from place to place ...wild camping of course....
we like the idea of the lighter Cepsa bottles , but because we now carry only one 11Kg bottle [ + a camping gas with adaptor for emergency reserve ] the absence of Cepsa supplies in so many places makes it impractical

so repsol it is , stop the gas truck or pop into the repsol garage wherever we go

while at the F1 pre season testing at jerez this spring , a french motorhomer knocked at the door and asked how I managed for gas ; the year before he had needed gas , and a GALP agent had fitted him up with a spanish style bottle , and he had since found that there are almost no GALP sellers in spain

I explained the repsol availability , the Cepsa position, and that buatne was just fine in spanish temperatures and was more widely available for that reason , would work fine with his on board regulator , and he said he would look out for a repsol bottle for the future ....and went off to drive 100Km to the GALP agent where he had obtained his bottle , closest place to swop; half a day later he came back and knocked on the door again , looking pleased with himself ...apparently he had explained his problem to the GALP agent who took his GALP bottle , gave him an empty repsol bottle he had taken in , and told him where the repsol garage was to swop it for a full one

how nice was that ! still plenty of good people about

hi, isnt galp more a portugese gas, fuel. yes its difficult sometimes . thats when being able to fill with lpg can be the answer.
there are alot of good people out there .its amazing we can get things done without speaking their language sometimes easier than in uk. with carrying two 13/15 kg bottles or a 19kg british .i can just about always cope . i also carry a camping gas usually to let others that only carry one have gas. always take a few to maroc as its so cheap there . also use total bottles when in france. have a german brown bottle as well. never know where to go next. best was me and a mate got 3camping gas bottles and two total at our dump for 3quid . we went to pick them up and they were all full. the story was the new owner of an imported camper was afraid to burn foreign gas in uk as it possibly wasnt safe. haa haa ,they had regulators on as well.. go and buy another one i say give me the bottles. have fun we do. alan

we use the plastic gas bottles in the house and they seem to run out quicker not used them in the motor jet. any one found the same yet.

what brand is that ken ?

most of the plastic bottles I have looked at hold a smaller volume than metal and cost more money !
