Censorship !

i see that my post entitled opposition has been closed by admin. i regard that as a blatant case of censorship. i would value other members opinions on this !
 
I class it as a blatant case of dealing with spammers who post website links to other sites for no other reason than to promote them.

There is a section for website links that you could have posted it in. You know the one where it says that it is the only place on this site where you are allowed to post them.

However you have given me a good idea!

I have now added that sites address to this communities spam filter so unfortunatly it will no longer benefit from the links that the worlds number one (in all search engines) wildcamping site gave it.

So there is no point you posting anymore spam here.
 
Its dead easy - Wildcamping is Phil Admin's forum
We do not pay a subscription of any sort and, as it's his, he can do what he likes. If he feels that something is "spam or spamming" then its snip snip

Thank you for your support.

I would say that this is the least censored motorhome site, I only remove or close threads that are abuse. Spam is abuse.

That response is very harsh, after all Steve4Kay is only a member of the other site, any action taken by him was not the fault of the Aministration of that site, a site by the way would not tollerate bad mouthing of any other site. You have banned an inocent entity, not fair at all.:( Happy to be a member of both, and other sites.

hang on wildman if my memory serves me well you were the second member to comment on (opposition) thread and you stated that on (said) site you was a member of .that you dident get moaned at so why do you stay to be moaned at over here. think i may have fallen for the oldest trick in the book on one thread ie crocs ie cause a slag off match oh well the older you get they say the dafter you get, i am of cause referring to myself . admin has the last say over here he is not vindictive and if he thinks something is wrong then ok, he is easy going and very rarely cuts off a thread .
 
Admin was not the one moaning at me on here, never has. just some of the membership I was trying to help, I am not a **** stirrer just state things as I see them and it is not for you to try and bully me out of here. I am not aware of setting out to upset anyone. so will hence forth ignore your comment enough said.
 
Admin is very right in this. :)
It is everybody's free choice to visit another site; but it is also normal not to set up one site against the other.
I'll play 'lawyer of the devil' and copy what I found in a thread of the 'opposition':

just went on to the wildcamping for MH site and put your website address on !!! wait for the flack and rush of new members ! i think that this site is the dogs b------s !!!!__________________
I say no more, but I feel this is low :mad:

no got to disagree there wildman i dont think any members moan at anyone on here, some disagree at times on some comments that is the way. but please dont accuse me of bully tactics i was victim of bully tactics a while ago and it made me ill.... bullying is something i do not condone!!!! and will never do , thank you .

Perhaps bully was the wrong term to use, but you did appear to strongly suggest I should leave. So will apologise. As I keep trying to say I don't like disagreements, enough strife in life without them so I hope you will forgive me for bowing out of this one.
 
So in website section you can only view or go to link but you cannot comment on the web site they have posted.

i tried to comment aboutgo-motorhoming a link was put in post, had
a look but was not that impressed with go motorhoming web site but could not comment to the post directly:confused:

I am going to close this thread now as I think it has been shown that the original post was made to try and gain members from this site.

I dont believe the other site had anything to do with this so I remove the censorship of that name.

But just a message for would be spammers....

If you wish to attract members to your site then do it in the proper section, then members have a choice of wether to read your adverts or not. If your site is not motorhome related or has no relevance to the membership then it we be considered as spam. IF YOU ARE NOT SURE PLEASE CONTACT THE ADMIN.

A guideline for our members...

You can post links to other websites in your normal posts if it is relevant to the thread; say someone wants a battery or a howto guide then please feel free to post a link. However if the thread is about a websites in must be in the links section.
