Carver Mk 1 Water heater question

Hi All,
Need some advice and don't seem to be able to get it. I have a Mk 1 water heater - the old kind mounted through the floor. Love the unit but . . . it's stopped working.

I've traced the problem to the wall switch/control unit. However, I have searched all over and can't find a replacement. So, does anyone know - can I use a Mk 2 control switch (loads available on ebay etc) with the Mk1 water heater? Are the connections the same, is the operation the same, has anyone done this?

have tried caravan breakers as it is just like aladins cave.

big big caravan breakers ,we have been there and if he hasent got it or cannot get it,it aint available, nice people you can wonder about the place everything is indoors only thing is he aint the cheapest but who is nowadays .also if you visit the place there are a few places to park overnight and the big pit and a iron works meuseum and keepers pond to visit you can have a nice weekend there actually not too far from abergaveny.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will try the breakers but have been trying to get hold of arcsystems for over a week. Can't get an answer by email or phone. Any ideas? Is he still is business?

Yes Gary is still in business but just realised he has a holiday this time of year !

He`s probably sunning himself in Thailand or somewhere nice and warm.
