Carpet glue for ceiling

Can anyone recommend a good glue for sticking the carpet back on our fibreglass high top which has become unstuck over the years.
Both a spray one and a paint on would be handy.

If you mean the stretchy carpet, most people use Trimfix spray adhesive.

Make sure it a heat resistant one .

Trimflex and use a dry paint roller to smooth out.

No the proper van trim does not have a foam backing, wife and i had great fun doing van ceiling.

Did you use masks or just get stoned on the fumes?

Gas masks are too expensive; we just did a section, had a brew and discussed what we were doing next, then back in for the next bit.

I remember using UHU glue to stick down formica on the shelves for glasses behind the bar where I worked as an evening job. Was me and another guy doing it, sticking our heads deep in the shelves pushing the stuff down, and didn't realise why after around a hour we were giggling away like a couple of schoolgirls watching the Osmonds

The spray on sort seems fine, but cover stuff to avoid overspray.
Some roof carpets of a certain age start to sprinkle sand from their backing, so it's a smart move to hoover the back before reglueing it
