Canals in Burgundy - Nivernais Loire

We're planning to go exploring the routes of the canals South East of Paris in September,
the Canal du Loing, Canal de Braire, Canal Lateral a la Loire, Canal du Nivernais and perhaps the Canal de Bourgogne, following the canals as far as possible in our MH. Can't find many aires in that area but I was wondering if the boat stopovers would allow us to use their facilities. Any ideas please? I'm even finding it difficult to find a decent map of the canals themselves, probably need to wait until we're in the area.

Hi
Try Boating in France for a selection of maps. But dont worry because you really wont have any problem findind places to stop over.
Regards Nolly.

We followed the canals in France a couple of years ago and found we could overnight almost everywhere, go to one of the Marinas and pick up a free map which shows ca rparks and water points for the boats and that's where you overnight, most of the Aires are away from the canals a bit but the Marinas are right on them, super.

Cannal de Nivernais ove4r top and down to Nevers lots camps aires wild spots follow canal du centre over top at Montchanin, and down to Chagny, folow route du grand vins towardws Dijon( but better hjeasd up (northwards) about Beaune and cut over to canal burgoybe-simply beautiful that part and up along it to tunnel and xplore hereabouts (on rightsurce Seine, along canal Tunnel) then along canal(really great onn railway famouws Paris Lyon Med(plm) takes same way) down St Florrentin; and on back to Migennes- but remember super scenery places beteen Nivernais canal and RN 6 either side canal burgundy. I have recently been told from two different sources that most or all of the aires on the Midi canal have been closed as it has been desegnated a naturel heritage site or something equivalent.....:(
No idea if correct but as I said from 2 different people.....
